这学期，我“荣升”为五年级学生，英语老师也换成了高年段英语老师——陆老师。她每年部教五、六年级的英语，在我心中，她就是我们学校的英语把关老师。
陆老师个子较高，脸有点长，长着一双炯炯有神的大眼睛。她经常板着脸，一本正经的，永远扎着高马尾，说着一口流利、地道的英语，讲话的声音特别好听，像百灵鸟的歌声那么清脆悦耳。不过她的性格像春天的天气一样，时而温暖，时而寒冷。这两股气流说不定哪股先吹来，真是让我们猝不及防，捉摸不透。
记得她第一次给我们上课，冷冷地捧着教本走向讲台，简单地介绍了自己后，就叫我们按照黑板上的句式介绍一下自己，面对如此“冷酷”的老师，我们紧张极了，原本流利的英语说得结结巴巴的。刚一介绍完，老师就给我们发了两张测试卷。我一看，上面是三、四年级的连词成句。她说：“接下来考查一下同学们的英语基础知识掌握得如何，现在开始做，下课铃响统一上交。”同学们听完立马奋笔疾书。当老师从我身边走过时，我不禁打了个寒战，心想：完了，遇上这么个难对付的老师，我还不得分分钟被叫去“领罪”？

每次我们纪律表现好了，英语老师就给我们一个小卡片。谁考一百分和谁作业写的好，也有一个小卡片。到了评比大会，英语老师首先把得到10个以上小卡片的同学的奖发下来，有的得到的是橡皮；铅笔；书皮……，然后，老师把每得到小卡片最多同学的奖发下来，他们得到的是老师的亲笔签名的笔记本。这次评比大会有三个同学得到的是英语老师亲笔签名的日记本。
这些奖品看上去没有多少钱，可我们班有20多个同学的奖，还有老师教的其他的班呢。
有人会问，这些东西是哪里来的？这些东西是英语老师用她的工资买来的。
一个月就要买这么多的奖品，两个月，三个月，一年，两年……
我捧着英语老师给我的亲笔签名的日记本，我心想：一定要好好学习，不辜负英语老师对我的希望。
